This course introduces the learner to solar energy as a heating source for water. It equips the learner with the necessary skills to prepare and plan for the installation and maintenance of solar water heating systems, including installation of solar water heating components, pipes and fittings. The course is a practically orientated, NQF level 4 course that will enable plumbers and related role-players to enhance the quality and effectiveness of their services by being able to install and maintain solar water heating systems.
